‘No words’ as Piastri cruelly denied victory by McLaren shocker

4+ hour, 34+ min ago (625+ words) Oscar Piastri has again been left the picture of dismay as his world championship title hopes took a potentially decisive hit through a calamitous strategic blunder by his McLaren team. The Australian, comfortably the fastest driver over the whole weekend in Lusail, had to settle for second behind victorious Max Verstappen on Sunday, slipping back to third in the title race after McLaren's decision not to pit their drivers under an early safety car while all their rivals did. It meant he lost what had looked a surefire win and teammate Lando Norris could only finish fourth, his championship lead now trimmed to just 12 points over Red Bull's reigning champ Verstappen going into the championship finale in Abu Dhabi next Sunday. Emma Mason's 15-year-old daughter Tilly ended her life following storms of online bullying, leaving Mason in grief and determination to protect other children. "I wear this, her ashes are in there," Emma said, touching a pendant around her neck. Mia Bannister, whose 14-year-old son also died by suicide, carries her son's memory similarly: "So I carry him around my neck in a little canister, his ashes." Human rights lawyer slams Australia over Chinese organ harvesting

11+ hour, 26+ min ago (502+ words) For almost two decades, David Matas has prodded countries like Australia to show some muscle and confront China over evidence of shocking human rights abuses. He's now saluting the countries he believes have done well " and calling out those that have done poorly. A human rights lawyer from Manitoba, Matas teamed up with another Canadian " the late MP David Kilgour " in 2006 to produce a startling report on live organ harvesting in China. That report and follow-up investigations suggested tens of thousands of practitioners of Falun Gong " the spiritual meditation and exercise regime banned in China " were subject to involuntary organ removal. China denounced the findings as "based on rumours and false allegations, claiming an investigation had found no merit in them. Today, that report is the foundation from which Falun Gong presses governments to hold China to account. "There are…...
